Martijn Vos, MSc, CEFA, Chief Operating Officer, Ortec Finance
Martijn Vos is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Ortec Finance. He is also responsible with the advisory and modeling work to pension funds, insurers, and sovereign wealth funds as well as for a.o. the Climate ESG, Economic Scenario Generator and Performance Attribution teams. He is a registered investment analyst (CEFA).
Martijn started his career with Ortec Finance in 1995 as a Consultant. In 2002 he became part of the Ortec Finance management team. From 2006 until March 2019, he was Managing Director of the Pensions & lnsurance Business Unit. He has been a partner at Ortec Finance since 2012.
Martijn has advised over 300 asset owners (mainly large Pension Funds and Sovereign Wealth funds). He has helped many corporates with pension plan redesign, and consequences for the investment portfolio. He specializes in risk management, asset/liability management and investment consulting for both DB and DC plans.
Martijn has served as chairman of the pensions committee of the Royal Dutch Actuarial Association (2013-2016). Since 2015, he chairs the annual conference on Asset Liability Management of CFA Society VBA Netherlands and he is an academic scholar at the Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy Center for Retirement lnitiatives (CRI) in Washington DC. He often speaks at conferences and teaches risk management at institutes, such as, Nyenrode Business University.
Martijn has a Master's degree in Financial Econometrics from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
