Dimitrios Dimopoulos, Head of ESG, Piraeus Financial Holdings

Dimitrios Dimopoulos received his bachelor degree in biology and his PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 1989, he has been involved in nature conservation and sustainable development. In 2006, he joined Piraeus Bank, today, he is the Head of the ESG unit of Piraeus. He represents Piraeus at UNEP FI, where he is currently serving as an elected member on the Banking Board and co-chair. He was actively involved in creating the UN Principles for Responsible Banking. He participates in the Advisory Boards of the EU Business @ Biodiversity Platform and the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation.
