Dr Bernard Delbecque, Chairman of EIOPA's Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group & Senior Director EFAMA

Bernard Delbecque is Senior Director for Economics and Research at the European Fund and Asset management Association (EFAMA). His research focuses on pension issues, fund cost and performance, household participation in capital markets, and investor education. Bernard has been Chair of EIOPA’s Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group (OPSG) since October 2018. He became a member of EIOPA’s Investor Trends and Research Working Group in October 2023. Prior to joining EFAMA, Bernard was a policy advisor to the Belgian Minister of Finance and previously he worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund in Washington. Bernard holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and he has taught economics courses at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium for many years.
